Iowa Juniper is another great choice for sunny, open areas and is deer resistant. It's wonderful for someone who's looking to add some screening or privacy to their landscape. It has an informal pyramidal shape with blue-green foliage that spreads wider and has more green color than Ames. This juniper also produces some nice blue-green berries. This less formal plant can be maintained smaller with some minimal pruning. This evergreen grows to be around 10-20' high x 6-8' wide.
