Free Earth Day Activities (Located in the Field House Greenhouse, in Kid's Corner--while supplies last)

*Carton Creation Station- Kids can create and plant a small succulent/nature-themed project to take home! Using a tray of four egg carton holes, kids will have the opportunity to transplant a small succulent from our succulent tray and fill the other holes with nature-related items such as pinecones, stones, twigs, etc. This fun project helps them think about reusing materials, learn more about nature, and how to transplant from small baby plant roots!

*Color Quest Earth Day Hunt- This scavenger hunt will feature an egg carton with color-coded sections to take around our grounds. Kids will search out, find,  and place nature inside their containers that match the color patches!

*Awards Collection Weekend for Earth Day Writing Challenge Winners-When visiting with your family, stop by Kid's Corner in the field house greenhouse, and see the winning entries that will be displayed in a special area! The proud winners will be collecting their monetary awards, plants, and upcycled garden projects. If you happen to be here when they are receiving their awards, congratulate them and thank them for thinking hard about how to keep our earth healthy and clean! Recipients will be coming at various times throughout this weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone!

*Earth Day Writing Challenge 2024 Rules & Details-Teachers and homeschooling parents of 3rd & 4th-grade students are encouraged to have their students enter our annual writing challenge ongoing now through Wednesday, April 10th (due date of entries).
