Easy to grow in average, well-drained soils; tolerates a wide range of soil types. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Blooms on old wood; remove spent blooms and prune if needed in summer after flowering. Apply a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.Pruning time: summer after flowering.
